Jo O’Meara stars in “No Ordinary Zoo”
S Clubber Jo O’Meara, alongside her best friend Cindy Lazarus has teamed up with Yorkshire Wildlife Park to give a Go Wild! Part 2, this time titled “No Ordinary Zoo”.
The YouTube documentary follows the duo as the learn about animals in the zoo and get up to funny antics.
The episodes dig deeper into the work that goes into looking after the animals and keeping the park going, with Jo getting stuck in by gutting fish to feed the sea lions, brushing and cleaning tapirs, and much more.
‘Anybody who knows me knows that I’ve always been a massive passionate animal lover, from big cats to small cats,’ Jo said of why she wanted to be involved with the project.
‘It’s something I’ve always wanted to be a part of so when I was asked to film this documentary and have my best friend film it with me, it was just a complete no-brainer. Raising as much awareness for these animals is so, so important.’
‘I got to learn about different species of animals that I’d never heard of before. The conservation that goes on at that park has me in awe. Every time I see the work they’re doing, I find it really uplifting and it’s just a really happy place to be,’ Jo added.
‘We are literally ruining the world and these animals are not gonna be around forever the way things are going, so this is so important because we’re losing species that our great-grandkids will see them extinct. We need to protect them.’
